SunSweep®

Fiber hole cleaning additive
Almost like running a pig in a pipeline

SunSweep drilling fluid additive is a superior hole-cleaning agent that transports drill cuttings, metal shavings, and other debris out of the wellbore. A proprietary treated polymerized synthetic fiber, SunSweep disperses easily in the fluid and exhibits excellent suspension qualities without adversely affecting any drilling fluid properties. The pail packaging, unlike a cardboard-boxed product, is waterproof and resistant to damage, eliminating product damage while on location.

  • Compatible for use in all drilling fluids
  • Increases carrying capacity of drilling fluid
  • Disturbs and removes cuttings beds
  • Lifts and carries metal-shavings debris out of the hole during milling operations
  • Faster than mixing gel/polymer sweeps
  • Mixes quickly through rig mud-mixing hoppers
  • Proper hole cleaning reduces torque and drag
  • Enhances the rate of penetration
  • Helps minimize wiper trips
  • Non-toxic
  • Chemically inert
  • No effect on fluid LC50
  • No effect on overall fluid viscosity
  • Will not plug MWDs or mud motors when mixed as recommended

Testimonials

  • The Dakota Sand was taking mud at rates of about 50 bbls per hour. We made an 80 bbl pill of cedar fibers with about
1.25 ppb of SunSweep and circulated the pill. The hole began to heal. We pumped several of these pills and the losses stopped and we finished well. I want to have SUN Sweep on all my wells.

  • We ran a pill of SunSweep in a 10.0 ppg brine to clean hole of sand and fine solids. When the shaker unloaded it made a believer out of me and the engineer.
